As the first quarter of 2021 has wrapped up, we at Sensor Tower have taken a close look at the dragon-themed games that have been soaring high in Europe. Here, we present the performance of the top five dragon games on the unified platform, which includes data from both iOS and Android.
Starting with Frost & Flame: King of Avalon, published by FunPlus International AG, we observed a revenue trend that started at approximately $1.36M in the last week of December 2020 and saw a slight decline to around $1.24M by the end of March 2021. Downloads for the game began at about 88K and peaked in early February at around 134K, before settling at approximately 103K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users showed an increase from 369K to a peak of around 449K in mid-February, then a gentle decrease to 405K.
Gameloft's Dragon Mania Legends showed an interesting revenue pattern with a peak of around $166K in early February, with the rest of the quarter fluctuating and closing at about $67K. The game’s downloads started off strong at 171K, decreasing over the quarter to approximately 89K. The weekly active users remained mostly stable, starting at 945K and ending the quarter at around 871K.
DianDian Interactive Holding's Dragonscapes Adventure saw a steady revenue increase from $116K to an impressive $254K by March's end. Downloads, however, displayed a downward trend from 117K to 83K. Active users showed healthy growth, starting at 239K and climbing to 328K.
Next, we have Dragon City - Breed & Battle! by Socialpoint. This title's revenue trended upwards from around $194K to $205K, while downloads saw a slight decrease from 88K to 94K. The game maintained a strong active user base, starting at 2.03M and slightly decreasing to 2.24M.
Lastly, Gram Games’ Merge Dragons! had its revenue fluctuating throughout the quarter, beginning at $674K and ending at around $541K. Downloads dipped from 94K to 65K, and weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 1.58M to 1.53M.
